Musa Sönmez is responsible for the European activities of Oak Hill Advisors (OHA) and the portfolio management of OHA's European investments and is based in the London office. He is a member of OHA's Investment Strategy, Risk and various Fund Investment Committees. Previously, Mr. Sönmez worked for Strategic Value Partners (SVP), where he focused primarily on special situations and distressed investments. Musa Sönmez began his career in the M&A advisory business of Lazard in Frankfurt and subsequently worked in leveraged finance for Lehman Brothers in London. Mr. Sönmez currently sits on the board of several of OHA's portfolio companies. He received his M.B.A. from IESE Business School in Barcelona and studied business administration in Frankfurt am Main.
