Professional Developement

Together with around 15 member companies, the BAI is launching an 18-month trainee programme for university graduates, which provides basic practical experience in the AI industry, both within the BAI office and through 2 practical stations (4-5 months each) at member companies. In addition to teaching theoretical and practical fundamentals in various areas of the professional AI business, this activity is complemented by accompanying project work. In addition to traditional association work in the areas of market, analysis, law/regulation and events, there are opportunities to work at our member companies in the areas of project management/sales/consulting, strategy & innovation, structuring & regulation as well as investments and due diligence.

For our trainee programme we are looking for the earliest possible date

Trainees in alternative investments in the areas of market and regulation

Your main tasks:

Working at the BAI office in the area of Alternative Markets (including analysing the AI markets with a focus on demand from institutional investors in Germany, preparing studies/publications on AI topics, assisting in the planning, design and implementation of BAI events, etc.) and/or in the area of Law & Regulation (including analysing and supporting legislative and regulatory projects, preparing position papers for politicians, supervisory and tax authorities, preparing and coordinating committee meetings, etc.).

Project work at BAI member companies, in particular in the areas of project management/sales/consulting, strategy & innovation, structuring & regulation as well as investments and due diligence (in coordination with the member companies)

 

Your profile:

  • Above-average degree from a leading business school or university in finance, economics, accounting or mathematics/statistics or successful completion of the second state examination in law (with at least a satisfactory grade)
  • Good knowledge of finance and statistics and experience in the application of empirical methods (for the area of alternative markets)
  • Strong interest in financial topics, politics and regulation in general and in particular in association work relating to alternative investment markets and portfolio management
  • Good analytical and conceptual thinking and excellent communication skills
  • A high degree of personal responsibility and enjoyment of working in a team
  • Very good written and spoken German, business fluent English, knowledge of other foreign languages is desirable
  • Very good user knowledge of MS Office products (Word, Excel, Power Point)
