Our investor speaker Michael Dittrich, Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt, will open the conference on May 14 with a presentation on "Sustainability in Capital Investments".

Further keynote lectures will be given by Prof Dr Rudi Zagst, Technische Universität München, on the question of whether financial mathematical models can see into the future, and by Prof Dr Aloys Prinz, Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster, on "Low Interest Rate Policy from a Microeconomic Perspective", and Prof Dr Hans-Peter Burghof, University of Hohenheim, on the efficiency and stability of financial systems: a systemic perspective.

You will also find top-class specialist lectures by selected member companies on the establishment and management of an optimal private equity/private debt portfolio, on performance measurement and evaluation of private equity, on the tax pitfalls of investing in a foreign private equity fund, on risk management for infrastructure investments, on market-neutral and uncorrelated strategies: opportunities and limitations in implementation, as well as on Liquid Alternatives - varieties of alternative investment strategies for the institutional portfolio.

The twelve practically orientated sponsor presentations cover topics such as long-short fixed income in response to the current market environment, alternative risk premiums, managed accounts for alternative assets, use of private market investments for institutional investors in the current market environment, ESG and private equity - status and outlook, as well as private equity and real estate markets in the EU: developments, trends, customer experiences, expectations from the perspective of a depositary.

As usual, BAI AIC 2019 will also feature the established investor panel on "Alternative Investments in Institutional Capital Investments: Challenges and Solutions", as well as a panel on ESG, which will answer questions such as how ESG integration can lead to better performance of private market investments and the importance of private market investments within the framework of the EU's low-carbon strategy.

At the get-together, Henry Maske, Olympic and IBF World Champion, explains to the audience why only those who give up have lost. The participants of the conference can end the evening in Kap Europa with a drink and finger food until 9 pm. Alternatively, the framework programme will begin at 8 p.m. with an investors dinner and after conference drinks.

In the morning (from 9:00 a.m.) of the second day of the event, institutional investors will have the opportunity attend an exclusive workshop where they can inform themselves about topics such as the use of financial mathematical models in capital investments and infrastructure investments in the Bayerische Versorgungskammer and to exchange information on various AI topics without the presence of product providers.
